The incredible film proves that Hitchcock can use his particular brand of suspense to turn just about anything into nightmare-fodder, as a town is terrorized by feathered kamikazes.Īs well as simply being flat-out terrifying, The Birds includes some phenomenal social commentary on how people respond to fear and crises.
